Псалми Давидови

Хвалите Господа; гласите име његово; јављајте по народима дјела његова.

O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

Пјевајте му и славите га; казујте сва чудеса његова.

Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

Хвалите се светијем именом његовијем; нек се весели срце онијех који траже Господа.

Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

Тражите Господа и силу његову, тражите лице његово без престанка.

Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

Памтите чудеса његова која је учинио, знаке његове и судове уста његовијех.

Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

Сјеме Аврамово слуге су његове, синови Јаковљеви избрани његови.

O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

Он је Господ Бог наш, по свој су земљи судови његови.

He [is] the LORD our God: his judgments [are] in all the earth.

Памти увијек завјет свој, ријеч, коју је дао на тисућу кољена.

He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word [which] he commanded to a thousand generations.

Што је завјетовао Авраму, и за што се клео Исаку.

Which [covenant] he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

То је поставио Јакову за закон, и Израиљу за завјет вјечни,

And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, [and] to Israel [for] an everlasting covenant:

Говорећи: теби ћу дати земљу Хананску у нашљедни дио.

Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

Тада их још бијаше мало на број, бијаше их мало, и бјеху дошљаци.

When they were [but] a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

Иђаху од народа до народа, из једнога царства к другоме племену.

When they went from one nation to another, from [one] kingdom to another people;

Не даде никоме да им науди, и караше за њих цареве:

He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

"Не дирајте у помазанике моје, и пророцима мојим не чините зла."

[Saying], Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

И пусти глад на ону земљу; и потр сав хљеб што је за храну.

Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.

Посла пред њима човјека; у робље продан би Јосиф.

He sent a man before them, [even] Joseph, [who] was sold for a servant:

Оковима стегоше ноге његове, гвожђе тишташе душу његову,

Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:

Док се стече ријеч његова, и ријеч Господња прослави га.

Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.

Посла цар и одријеши га; господар над народима, и пусти га.

The king sent and loosed him; [even] the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

Постави га господаром над домом својим, и заповједником над свијем што имаше.

He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:

Да влада над кнезовима његовијем по својој вољи, и старјешине његове уразумљује.

To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

Тада дође Израиљ у Мисир, и Јаков се пресели у земљу Хамову.

Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

И намножи Бог народ свој и учини га јачега од непријатеља његовијех.

And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

Преврну се срце њихово те омрзнуше на народ његов, и чинише лукавство слугама његовијем.

He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

Посла Мојсија, слугу својега, Арона избраника својега.

He sent Moses his servant; [and] Aaron whom he had chosen.

Показаше међу њима чудотворну силу његову и знаке његове у земљи Хамовој.

They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.

Пусти мрак и замрачи, и не противише се ријечи његовој.

He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

Претвори воду њихову у крв, и помори рибу њихову.

He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

Провре земља њихова жабама, и клијети царева њиховијех.

Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

Рече, и дођоше бубине, уши по свијем крајевима њиховијем.

He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, [and] lice in all their coasts.

Мјесто дажда посла на њих град, живи огањ на земљу њихову.

He gave them hail for rain, [and] flaming fire in their land.

И поби чокоте њихове и смокве њихове, и потр дрвета у крајевима њиховијем.

He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.

Рече, и дођоше скакавци и гусјенице небројене;

He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,

И изједоше сву траву по земљи њиховој, и поједоше род у пољу њихову.

And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

И поби све првенце у земљи њиховој, првине свакога труда њихова.

He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

Изведе Израиљце са сребром и златом, и не бјеше сустала у племенима њиховијем.

He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and [there was] not one feeble [person] among their tribes.

Обрадова се Мисир изласку њихову, јер страх њихов бјеше на њ пао.

Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

Разастрије им облак за покривач, и огањ да свијетли ноћу.

He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

Молише, и посла им препелице, и хљебом их небеским храни.

[The people] asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

Отвори камен и протече вода, ријеке протекоше по сухој пустињи.

He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places [like] a river.

Јер се опомињаше свете ријечи своје к Авраму, слузи својему.

For he remembered his holy promise, [and] Abraham his servant.

И изведе народ свој у радости, избране своје у весељу.

And he brought forth his people with joy, [and] his chosen with gladness:

И даде им земљу народа и труд туђинаца у нашљедство.

And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

Да би чували заповијести његове, и законе његове пазили. Алилуја.

That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
