Псалми Давидови

Благо човјеку који се боји Господа, коме су веома омиљеле заповијести његове.

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed [is] the man [that] feareth the LORD, [that] delighteth greatly in his commandments.

Силно ће бити на земљи сјеме његово, род праведнички биће благословен.

His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Обиље је и богатство у дому његову, и правда његова траје довијека.

Wealth and riches [shall be] in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

У тами сјаје видјело праведницима од доброга, милостивога и праведнога.

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: [he is] gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

Благо ономе који је милостив и даје у зајам! Он ће дати тврђу ријечима својим на суду.

A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Јер неће посрнути довијека, праведник ће се спомињати увијек.

Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

Не боји се зла гласа; срце је његово стално, узда се у Господа.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

Утврђено је срце његово, неће се побојати, и видјеће како падају непријатељи његови.

His heart [is] established, he shall not be afraid, until he see [his desire] upon his enemies.

Просипа, даје убогима; правда његова траје довијека, рог се његов узвишује у слави.

He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

Безбожник види, и једи се, шкргуће зубима својим, и сахне. Жеља ће безбожницима пропасти.

The wicked shall see [it], and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
