Кад изађе Израиљ из Мисира, дом Јаковљев из народа туђега,

When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

Јудеја постаде светиња Божија, Израиљ област његова.

Judah was his sanctuary, [and] Israel his dominion.

Море видје и побјеже; Јордан се обрати натраг.

The sea saw [it], and fled: Jordan was driven back.

Горе скакаше као овнови, брдашца као јагањци.

The mountains skipped like rams, [and] the little hills like lambs.

Што ти би, море, те побјеже и теби, Јордане, те се обрати натраг?

What [ailed] thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, [that] thou wast driven back?

Горе, што скачете као овнови, и брдашца, као јагањци?

Ye mountains, [that] ye skipped like rams; [and] ye little hills, like lambs?

Пред лицем Господњим дркћи, земљо, пред лицем Бога Јаковљева.

Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

Који претвара камен у језеро водено, гранит у извор водени.

Which turned the rock [into] a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
