Друга књига Мојсијева (која се зове Излазак )

А послије изиде Мојсије и Арон пред Фараона, и рекоше му: овако вели Господ Бог Израиљев: пусти народ мој да ми празнују празник у пустињи.

And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

Али Фараон рече: ко је Господ да послушам глас његов и пустим Израиља? Не знам Господа, нити ћу пустити Израиља.

And Pharaoh said, Who [is] the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

А они рекоше: Бог Јеврејски срете нас; молимо ти се да отидемо три дана хода у пустињу да принесемо жртву Господу Богу својему, да не пошље на нас помор или мач.

And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.

А цар Мисирски рече им: Мојсије и Ароне, зашто одвлачите народ од рада његова? Идите на свој посао.

And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.

Још рече Фараон: ето, народа је много у земљи; а ви још хоћете да оставља своје послове.

And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now [are] many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.

И у исти дан заповједи Фараон настојницима над народом и управитељима његовијем, и рече:

And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,

Отселе немојте давати народу пљеве за опеке као дослије, нека иду сами и купе себи пљеву.

Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.

А колико су опека дослије начињали толико изгоните и отселе, нити што смањите; јер беспосличе, и зато вичу говорећи: да идемо да принесемо жртву Богу својему.

And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish [ought] thereof: for they [be] idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go [and] sacrifice to our God.

Ваља навалити послове на те људе, па ће радити и неће слушати лажљивијех ријечи.

Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.

И изашавши настојници народни и управитељи рекоше народу говорећи: тако вели Фараон: ја вам нећу давати пљеве.

And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.

Идите сами и купите себи пљеве гдје нађете, а од посла вам се неће попустити ништа.

Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.

И разиде се народ по свој земљи Мисирској да чупа стрњику мјесто пљеве.

So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.

А настојници наваљиваху говорећи: свршујте послове своје колико долази на дан, као кад је било пљеве.

And the taskmasters hasted [them], saying, Fulfil your works, [your] daily tasks, as when there was straw.

И управитељи синова Израиљевијех, које поставише над њима настојници Фараонови, допадаху боја, и говораше им се: зашто ни јуче ни данас не начинисте онолико опека колико вам је одређено, као прије?

And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, [and] demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?

И отидоше управитељи синова Израиљевијех, и повикаше к Фараону говорећи: зашто чиниш тако слугама својим?

Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants?

Пљева се не даје слугама твојим, па опет кажу нам: градите опеке. И ево бију слуге твоје, а крив је твој народ.

There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants [are] beaten; but the fault [is] in thine own people.

А он рече: беспосличите, беспосличите, и зато говорите: да идемо да принесемо жртву Господу.

But he said, Ye [are] idle, [ye are] idle: therefore ye say, Let us go [and] do sacrifice to the LORD.

Него идите, радите; пљева вам се неће давати, а опеке да дајете на број.

Go therefore now, [and] work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.

И управитељи синова Израиљевијех видјеше да је зло по њих што им се каза: да не буде опека мање на дан.

And the officers of the children of Israel did see [that] they [were] in evil [case], after it was said, Ye shall not minish [ought] from your bricks of your daily task.

И отишавши од Фараона сретоше Мојсија и Арона, који изидоше пред њих.

And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:

Па им рекоше: Господ нека вас види и суди, што нас омразисте Фараону и слугама његовијем, и дадосте им мач у руку да нас побију.

And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

И Мојсије се врати ка Господу и рече: Господе, зашто си навукао то зло на народ? зашто си ме послао?

And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou [so] evil entreated this people? why [is] it [that] thou hast sent me?

Јер откако изидох пред Фараона и проговорих у твоје име, још горе поступа с народом овијем, а ти не избави народа својега.

For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.
