Књига пророка Исаије

Тешко гиздавоме вијенцу пијаница Јефремовијех, увелом цвијету краснога накита њихова, који су уврх роднога дола, пијани од вина!

Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty [is] a fading flower, which [are] on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!

Гле, у Господа има неко јак и силан као пљусак од града, као олуја која све ломи, као поплава силне воде, кад навали, обориће све на земљу руком.

Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, [which] as a tempest of hail [and] a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.

Ногама ће се изгазити гиздави вијенац, пијанице Јефремове.

The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:

И увели цвијет краснога накита њихова, што је уврх роднога дола, биће као воће узрело прије љета, које чим ко види, узме у руку и поједе.

And the glorious beauty, which [is] on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, [and] as the hasty fruit before the summer; which [when] he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.

У оно ће вријеме Господ над војскама бити славна круна и дичан вијенац остатку народа својега,

In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,

И дух суда ономе који сједи да суди, и сила онима који узбијају бој до врата.

And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.

Али се и они заносе од вина, и посрћу од силовита пића: свештеник и пророк заносе се од силовита пића, освојило их је вино, посрћу од силовита пића, заносе се у пророковању, спотичу се у суђењу.

But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble [in] judgment.

Јер су сви столови пуни бљувотине и нечистоте, нема мјеста чиста.

For all tables are full of vomit [and] filthiness, [so that there is] no place [clean].

Кога ће учити мудрости, и кога ће упутити да разумије науку? Дјецу, којој се не даје више млијеко, која су одбијена од сисе?

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [them that are] weaned from the milk, [and] drawn from the breasts.

Јер заповијест по заповијест, заповијест по заповијест, правило по правило, правило по правило, овдје мало, ондје мало даваше се.

For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little:

Зато ће неразумљивом бесједом и туђим језиком говорити томе народу;

For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

Јер им рече: ово је починак, оставите уморна да почине; ово је одмор; али не хтјеше послушати.

To whom he said, This [is] the rest [wherewith] ye may cause the weary to rest; and this [is] the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

И биће им ријеч Господња, заповијест по заповијест, заповијест по заповијест, правило по правило, правило по правило, мало овдје, мало ондје, да иду и падају наузнако и разбију се, и да се заплету у замке и ухвате.

But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

Зато слушајте ријеч Господњу, људи потсмијевачи, који владате народом што је у Јерусалиму.

Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which [is] in Jerusalem.

Што рекосте: ухватисмо вјеру са смрћу, и уговорисмо с гробом; кад зађе бич као поводањ, неће нас дохватити, јер од лажи начинисмо себи уточиште, и за пријевару заклонисмо се;

Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

Зато овако вели Господ Господ: ево, ја мећем у Сиону камен, камен изабран, камен од угла, скупоцјен, темељ тврд; ко вјерује неће се плашити.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner [stone], a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

И извршићу суд по правилу и правду по мјерилима; и град ће потрти лажно уточиште и вода ће потопити заклон.

Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

И вјера ваша са смрћу уништиће се, и уговор ваш с гробом неће остати, а кад зађе бич као поводањ, потлачиће вас.

And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

Чим зађе, однијеће вас, јер ће залазити свако јутро, дању и ноћу, и кад се чује вика, биће сам страх.

From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only [to] understand the report.

Јер ће одар бити кратак да се човјек не може пружити, и покривач узак да се не може умотати.

For the bed is shorter than that [a man] can stretch himself [on it]: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself [in it].

Јер ће Господ устати као на гори Ферасиму, разгњевиће се као у долу Гаваонском, да учини дјело своје, необично дјело своје, да сврши посао свој, необичан посао свој.

For the LORD shall rise up as [in] mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as [in] the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.

Немојте се дакле више потсмијевати да не постану јачи окови ваши, јер чух од Господа Господа над војскама погибао одређену свој земљи.

Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.

Слушајте, и чујте глас мој, пазите и чујте бесједу моју.

Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.

Оре ли орач сваки дан да посије? или бразди и повлачи њиву своју?

Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?

Кад поравни озго, не сије ли грахор и ким? и не меће ли пшеницу на најбоље мјесто, и јечам на згодно мјесто, и крупник на његово мјесто?

When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?

И Бог га његов учи и упућује како ће радити.

For his God doth instruct him to discretion, [and] doth teach him.

Јер се грахор не врше браном, нити се точак колски обрће по киму, него се цијепом млати грахор и ким прутом.

For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.

Пшеница се врше, али неће једнако вријећи нити ће је сатрти точком колским на зупцима раздробити.

Bread [corn] is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break [it with] the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it [with] his horsemen.

И то долази од Господа над војскама, који је диван у савјету, велик у мудрости.

This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, [which] is wonderful in counsel, [and] excellent in working.
