Књига пророка Јеремије

Овако говори Господ: сиђи у дом цара Јудина, и реци ондје ову ријеч,

Thus saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word,

И кажи: слушај ријеч Господњу, царе Јудин, који сједиш на пријестолу Давидову, ти и слуге твоје и народ твој, који улазите на ова врата.

And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:

Овако вели Господ: чините суд и правду, и коме се отима избављајте га из руку насилниковијех, и не чините криво иностранцу ни сироти ни удовици, и не чините им силе, и крви праве не прољевајте на овом мјесту.

Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.

Јер ако доиста узрадите ово, улазиће на врата овога дома цареви, који сједе мјесто Давида на пријестолу његову, на колима и на коњма, они и слуге њихове и народ њихов.

For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.

Ако ли не послушате овијех ријечи, заклињем се собом, вели Господ, да ћу опустјети тај дом.

But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation.

Јер овако вели Господ за дом цара Јудина: ти си ми Галад и врх Ливански, али ћу те обратити у пустињу, у градове у којима се не живи.

For thus saith the LORD unto the king's house of Judah; Thou [art] Gilead unto me, [and] the head of Lebanon: [yet] surely I will make thee a wilderness, [and] cities [which] are not inhabited.

И спремићу на тебе затираче, свакога с оружјем, и посјећи ће твоје красне кедре и побацати их у огањ.

And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast [them] into the fire.

И многи ће народи пролазити мимо тај град, и говориће један другоме: зашто учини ово Господ од тога града великога?

And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this great city?

И рећи ће: јер оставише завјет Господа Бога својега и клањаше се другим боговима и служише им.

Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them.

Не плачите за мртвијем нити га жалите; него плачите за онијем који одлази, јер се неће више вратити нити ће видјети своје постојбине.

Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him: [but] weep sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native country.

Јер овако говори Господ о Салуму сину Јосије цара Јудина, који цароваше мјесто Јосије оца својега, који отиде из овога мјеста: неће се више вратити.

For thus saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more:

Него ће умријети у мјесту куда га одведоше у ропство, и неће више видјети ове земље.

But he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more.

Тешко оному који гради своју кућу не по правди, и клијети своје не по правици, који се служи ближњим својим ни за што и плате за труд његов не даје му;

Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; [that] useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;

Који говори: саградићу себи велику кућу и простране клијети; и разваљује себи прозоре, и облаже кедром и маже црвенилом.

That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and [it is] cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.

Хоћеш ли царовати кад се мијешаш с кедром? Отац твој није ли јео и пио? кад чињаше суд и правду, тада му бијаше добро.

Shalt thou reign, because thou closest [thyself] in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, [and] then [it was] well with him?

Даваше правицу сиромаху и убогоме, и бијаше му добро; није ли то познавати ме? говори Господ.

He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then [it was] well [with him: was] not this to know me? saith the LORD.

Али очи твоје и срце твоје иду само за твојим добитком и да прољеваш крв праву и да чиниш насиље и кривду.

But thine eyes and thine heart [are] not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do [it].

Зато овако вели Господ за Јоакима сина Јосије цара Јудина: неће нарицати за њим: јаох брате мој! или: јаох сестро! неће нарицати за њим: јаох господару! или: јаох славо његова!

Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, [saying], Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, [saying], Ah lord! or, Ah his glory!

Погребом магарећим погрепшће се, извући ће се и бациће се иза врата Јерусалимских.

He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem.

Изиди на Ливан и вичи, и на Васану пусти глас свој, и вичи преко бродова, јер се сатрше сви који те љубе.

Go up to Lebanon, and cry; and lift up thy voice in Bashan, and cry from the passages: for all thy lovers are destroyed.

Говорих ти у срећи твојој, а ти рече: нећу да слушам; то је пут твој од дјетињства твојега да не слушаш гласа мојега.

I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; [but] thou saidst, I will not hear. This [hath been] thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.

Све ће пастире твоје однијети вјетар, и који те љуби отићи ће у ропство; тада ћеш се посрамити и постидјети за сву злоћу своју.

The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness.

Ти сједиш на Ливану, гнијездо вијеш на кедрима, како ћеш бити љупка, кад ти дођу муке и болови као породиљи!

O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail!

Како сам ја жив, вели Господ, да би Хонија син Јоакима цара Јудина био прстен печатни на десној руци мојој, и оданде ћу те отргнути.

[As] I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence;

И даћу те у руке онима који траже душу твоју, и у руке онима којих се бојиш, у руке Навуходоносору цару Вавилонском и у руке Халдејцима.

And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand [of them] whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.

И бацићу тебе и матер твоју која те је родила у земљу туђу, гдје се нијесте родили, и ондје ћете помријети.

And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die.

А у земљу у коју ћете жељети да се вратите, нећете се вратити у њу.

But to the land whereunto they desire to return, thither shall they not return.

Је ли тај човјек Хонија ништав идол изломљен? је ли суд у ком нема милине? зашто бише истјерани, он и сјеме његово, и бачени у земљу, које не познају?

[Is] this man Coniah a despised broken idol? [is he] a vessel wherein [is] no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?

О земљо, земљо, земљо! чуј ријеч Господњу.

O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.

Овако вели Господ: запишите да ће тај човјек бити без дјеце и да неће бити срећан до свога вијека; и нико неће бити срећан од сјемена његова, који би сједио на пријестолу Давидову и још владао Јудом.

Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man [that] shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah.
