Трећа књига Мојсијева (која се зове Левитска )

Још рече Господ Мојсију: кажи свештеницима синовима Ароновијем, и реци им: за мртвацем да се не скврни ни један у народу својем,

And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people:

Осим за родом својим по крви, за матером својом или за оцем својим или за сином својим или за кћерју својом или за братом својим,

But for his kin, that is near unto him, [that is], for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,

Или за рођеном сестром својом, дјевојком, која није имала мужа; за њом се може оскврнити.

And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled.

Ако је ожењен, да се не оскврни за женом својом у народу својем учинивши се нечист.

[But] he shall not defile himself, [being] a chief man among his people, to profane himself.

Да се не начине ћелави чупајући косу с главе своје и да не брију браде своје, нити се режу по тијелу својем.

They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.

Нека буду свети Богу својему, и нека не скврне имена Бога својега, јер приносе жртве огњене Господње, хљеб Бога својега, зато нека су свети.

They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the LORD made by fire, [and] the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.

Нека се не жене женом курвом или силованом; ни пуштеницом нека се не жене; јер су свети Богу својему.

They shall not take a wife [that is] a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he [is] holy unto his God.

И теби нека је сваки свет, јер приноси хљеб Бога твојега; свет нека ти је, јер сам ја свет, Господ, који вас посвећујем.

Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the LORD, which sanctify you, [am] holy.

А кћи свештеничка која се оскврни курвајући се, скврни оца својега, огњем нека се спали.

And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.

А свештеник највиши између браће своје, којему се на главу излило уље помазања и који је посвећен да се облачи у свете хаљине, нека не открива главе своје, и хаљина својих нека не раздире.

And [he that is] the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;

И к мртвацу ниједном нека не иде, ни за оцем својим ни за матером својом да се не оскврни.

Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;

И из светиње нека не излази, да не би оскврнио светињу Бога својега, јер је на њему вијенац, уље помазања Бога његова; ја сам Господ.

Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God [is] upon him: I [am] the LORD.

Он нека се жени дјевојком.

And he shall take a wife in her virginity.

Удовицом ни пуштеницом ни силованом ни курвом да се не жени; него дјевојком из народа својега нека се ожени.

A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, [or] an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.

И нека не скврни сјемена својега у народу својем, јер сам ја Господ, који га посвећујем.

Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the LORD do sanctify him.

Опет рече Господ Мојсију говорећи:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Кажи Арону и реци: у кога би из сјемена твојега од кољена до кољена била мана на тијелу, онај нека не приступа да приноси хљеб Бога својега.

Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever [he be] of thy seed in their generations that hath [any] blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.

Јер нико на коме би била мана не ваља да приступа, ни слијеп, ни хром, ни у кога би био који уд превећ мали или превећ велики,

For whatsoever man [he be] that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,

Ни у кога је сломљена нога или рука.

Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,

Ни грбав, ни дрљав, ни ко има биону на оку, ни шугав, ни лишајив, ни просут.

Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;

У кога би год из сјемена Арона свештеника била кака мана на тијелу, нека не приступа да приноси жртве огњене Господу; мана је на њему; да не приступа да приноси хљеб Бога својега.

No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.

Али хљеб Бога својега од ствари пресветих и од ствари светих нека једе;

He shall eat the bread of his God, [both] of the most holy, and of the holy.

Али за завјес нека не улази; к олтару нека се не приближује, јер је мана на њему, па нека не скврни светиње моје, јер сам ја Господ који их посвећујем.

Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the LORD do sanctify them.

И Мојсије каза то Арону и синовима његовијем и свијем синовима Израиљевим.

And Moses told [it] unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.
