Књига пророка Амоса

Ријечи Амоса који бијаше између пастира из Текује, што видје за Израиља за времена Озије цара Јудина и за времена Јеровоама сина Јоасова цара Израиљева, двије године прије труса.

The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

Рече дакле: Господ ће рикнути са Сиона, и из Јерусалима ће пустити глас свој, и тужиће станови пастирски и посушиће се врх Кармилу.

And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.

Овако вели Господ: за три зла и за четири што учини Дамасак, нећу му опростити, јер врхоше Галад гвозденом браном.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment] thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:

Него ћу пустити огањ у дом Азаилов, те ће прождријети дворове Вен-Ададове.

But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad.

И поломићу пријеворнице Дамаску, и истријебићу становнике из поља Авена, и онога који држи палицу из дома Еденова, и отићи ће у ропство народ Сирски у Кир, вели Господ.

I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD.

Овако вели Господ: за три зла и за четири што учини Газа, нећу јој опростити, јер их заробише сасвијем и предадоше Едомцима.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment] thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver [them] up to Edom:

Него ћу пустити огањ у зидове Гази, те ће јој прождријети дворове.

But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:

И истријебићу становнике из Азота и онога који држи палицу из Аскалона, и окренућу руку своју на Акарон, и изгинуће остатак Филистејски, вели Господ Господ.

And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.

Овако вели Господ: за три зла и за четири што учини Тир, нећу му опростити, јер сасвијем дадоше у ропство Едомцима и не сјећаше се братске вјере.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment] thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:

Него ћу пустити огањ у зидове Тиру, те ће прождријети дворове његове.

But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.

Овако вели Господ: за три зла и за четири што учини Едом, нећу му опростити, јер гони брата својега мачем потрвши у себи све жаљење, и гњев његов раздире једнако, и срдњу своју држи увијек.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment] thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:

Него ћу пустити огањ у Теман, и прождријеће дворе у Восори.

But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.

Овако вели Господ: за три зла и за четири што учинише синови Амонови, нећу им опростити, јер параше трудне жене у Галаду да рашире међу своју.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment] thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:

Него ћу запалити огањ у зидовима Рави, те ће јој прождријети дворове с виком у дан боја и с буром у дан вихора.

But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:

И цар ће њихов отићи у ропство, он и кнезови његови с њим, вели Господ.

And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD.
