Књига пророка Захарије

Осмога мјесеца друге године Даријеве, дође ријеч Господња пророку Захарији сину Варахије сина Идова говорећи:

In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

Господ се врло разгњеви на оце ваше.

The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers.

Зато им реци: овако вели Господ над војскама: вратите се к мени, говори Господ над војскама, и ја ћу се вратити к вама, вели Господ над војскама.

Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.

Не будите као оци ваши, којима викаху пређашњи пророци говорећи: овако вели Господ над војскама: вратите се са злијех путова својих и од злијех дјела својих; али не послушаше нити пазише на ме, говори Господ.

Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and [from] your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD.

Оци ваши гдје су? и ти пророци живе ли довијека?

Your fathers, where [are] they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?

Али ријечи моје и уредбе моје које заповиједах слугама својим пророцима не стигоше ли оце ваше? те се они обратише и рекоше: како Господ над војскама бјеше намислио учинити нам према путовима нашим и по дјелима нашим, тако нам учини.

But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

Двадесет четвртога дана једанаестога мјесеца, а то је мјесец Сават, друге године Даријеве, дође ријеч Господња пророку Захарији сину Варахије сина Идова говорећи:

Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which [is] the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

Видјех ноћу, а то човјек јахаше на коњу риђу, и стајаше међу миртама које бијаху у долу, а за њим бијаху коњи риђи, шарени и бијели.

I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that [were] in the bottom; and behind him [were there] red horses, speckled, and white.

И рекох: шта је ово, господару мој? А анђео који говораше са мном рече ми: ја ћу ти показати што је ово.

Then said I, O my lord, what [are] these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these [be].

Тада човјек који стајаше међу миртама проговори и рече: ово су које посла Господ да облазе земљу.

And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These [are they] whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

И они проговорише анђелу Господњему који стајаше међу миртама, и рекоше: ми обидосмо земљу, и гле, сва земља почива и мирна је.

And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.

Тада анђео Господњи одговори и рече: Господе над војскама, кад ћеш се већ смиловати Јерусалиму и градовима Јудинијем, на које се гњевиш већ седамдесет година?

Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?

А Господ одговори анђелу који говораше са мном, добријем ријечима, милијем ријечима.

And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me [with] good words [and] comfortable words.

И рече ми анђео који говораше са мном: вичи и реци: овако вели Господ над војскама: ревнујем за Јерусалим и за Сион веома.

So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

И гњевим се силно на народе безбрижне, јер се мало разгњевих а они помогоше на зло.

And I am very sore displeased with the heathen [that are] at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.

Зато овако вели Господ: обратих се к Јерусалиму милошћу, дом ће се мој опет сазидати у њему, говори Господ над војскама, и уже ће се затегнуту преко Јерусалима.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.

Још вичи и реци: овако вели Господ над војскама: опет ће градови моји обиловати добром, и Господ ће опет утјешити Сион и опет ће изабрати Јерусалим.

Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

Тада подигох очи своје и видјех, и гле, четири рога.

Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.

И рекох анђелу који говораше са мном: што је то? А он ми рече: то су рогови који разметнуше Јуду, Израиља и Јерусалим.

And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What [be] these? And he answered me, These [are] the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.

Потом показа ми Господ четири ковача.

And the LORD shewed me four carpenters.

И рекох: шта су ти дошли да раде? А он одговори и рече: оно су рогови који разметнуше Јуду да нико не подиже главе; а ови дођоше да их уплаше, да одбију рогове народима, који подигоше рог на земљу Јудину да је разметну.

Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These [are] the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up [their] horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.
