Књига пророка Захарије

Опет подигох очи своје и видјех, и гле, човјек, и у руци му уже мјерачко.

I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.

И рекох: куда идеш? А он ми рече: да измјерим Јерусалим да видим колика му је ширина и колика му је дужина.

Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what [is] the breadth thereof, and what [is] the length thereof.

И гле, анђео који говораше са мном изиде, и други анђео изиде му на сусрет.

And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,

И рече му: трчи, говори оном младићу и реци: Јерусалимљани ће се населити по селима ради мноштва људи и стоке што ће бити у њему.

And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited [as] towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:

И ја ћу му, говори Господ, бити зид огњен унаоколо и бићу за славу усред њега.

For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

Еј, еј, бјежите из земље сјеверне, говори Господ, јер вас разасух у четири вјетра небеска, говори Господ.

Ho, ho, [come forth], and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.

Еј Сионе, који сједиш код кћери Вавилонске, избави се.

Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest [with] the daughter of Babylon.

Јер овако вели Господ над војскама: за славом посла ме к народима, који вас оплијенише; јер ко тиче у вас, тиче у зјеницу ока његова.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

Јер ево ја ћу махнути руком својом на њих, и биће плијен слугама својим, и познаћете да ме је послао Господ над војскама.

For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.

Пјевај и весели се, кћери Сионска, јер ево ја идем и наставаћу усред тебе, говори Господ.

Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.

И многи ће се народи прилијепити ка Господу у тај дан, и биће ми народ, и ја ћу наставати усред тебе, и познаћеш да ме је послао к теби Господ над војскама.

And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.

И Господ ће наслиједити Јуду, свој дио, у земљи светој, и опет ће изабрати Јерусалим.

And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.

Нека мучи свако тијело пред Господом, јер уста из светога стана својега.

Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
