Свето Јеванђеље по Матеју

А по вечеру суботном на освитак првога дана недјеље дође Марија Магдалина и друга Марија да огледају гроб.

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

И гле, земља се затресе врло; јер анђео Господњи сиђе с неба, и приступивши одвали камен од врата гробнијех и сјеђаше на њему.

And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

А лице његово бијаше као муња, и одијело његово као снијег.

His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

И од страха његова уздркташе се стражари, и постадоше као мртви.

And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead [men].

А анђео одговарајући рече женама: не бојте се ви; јер знам да Исуса распетога тражите.

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

Није овдје: јер устаде као што је казао. Ходите да видите мјесто гдје је лежао Господ.

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Па идите брже те кажите ученицима његовијем да је устао из мртвијех. И гле, он ће пред вама отићи у Галилеју; тамо ћете га видјети. Ето ја вам казах.

And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

И изишавши брзо из гроба са страхом и радости великом потекоше да јаве ученицима његовијем.

And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

А кад иђаху да јаве ученицима његовијем, и гле, срете их Исус говорећи: здраво! А оне приступивши ухватише се за ноге његове и поклонише му се.

And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

Тада рече им Исус: не бојте се; идите те јавите браћи мојој нека иду у Галилеју; и тамо ће ме видјети.

Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

А кад иђаху, гле, неки од стражара дођоше у град и јавише главарима свештеничкијем све што се догодило.

Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

И они саставши се са старјешинама учинише вијећу, и дадоше војницима довољно новаца

And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,

Говорећи: кажите: ученици његови дођоше ноћу и украдоше га кад смо ми спавали.

Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him [away] while we slept.

И ако то чује судија, ми ћемо њега умирити, и учинити да вама ништа не буде.

And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

А они узевши новце учинише као што су научени били. И разгласи се ова ријеч по Јеврејима и до данас.

So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

А једанаест ученика отидоше у Галилеју у гору куда им је казао Исус.

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

И кад га видјеше, поклонише му се; а једни посумњаше.

And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

И приступивши Исус рече им говорећи: даде ми се свака власт на небу и на земљи.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Идите дакле и научите све народе крстећи их ва име оца и сина и светога Духа,

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Учећи их да све држе што сам вам заповиједао; и ево ја сам с вама у све дане до свршетка вијека. Амин.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
