Дјела светијех апостола (Писао их свети апостол и јеванђелиста Лука )

И неки сишавши из Јудеје учаху браћу: ако се не обрежете по обичају Мојсијеву, не можете се спасти.

And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, [and said], Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

А кад поста распра, и Павле и Варнава не мало се препираше с њима, одредише да Павле и Варнава и други неки од њих иду горе к апостолима и старјешинама у Јерусалим за ово питање.

When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

А они онда спремљени од цркве, пролажаху кроз Финикију и Самарију казујући обраћање незнабожаца, и чињаху велику радост свој браћи.

And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.

А кад дођоше у Јерусалим, прими их црква и апостоли и старјешине, и казаше све што учини Бог с њима, и како отвори незнабошцима врата вјере.

And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and [of] the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.

Онда усташе неки од јереси фарисејске који бијаху вјеровали, и говораху да их ваља обрезати, и заповједити да држе закон Мојсијев.

But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command [them] to keep the law of Moses.

А апостоли и старјешине сабраше се да извиде ову ријеч.

And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

И по многом вијећању уста Петар и рече: људи браћо! ви знате да Бог од првијех дана изабра између нас да из мојијех уста чују незнабошци ријеч јеванђеља и да вјерују.

And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men [and] brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

И Бог, који познаје срца, посвједочи им и даде им Духа светога као и нама.

And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as [he did] unto us;

И не постави никакве разлике међу нама и њима, очистивши вјером срца њихова.

And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

Сад дакле шта кушате Бога и хоћете да метнете ученицима јарам на врат, којега ни оцеви наши ни ми могосмо понијети?

Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

Него вјерујемо да ћемо се спасти благодаћу Господа Исуса Христа као и они.

But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Онда умуче све мноштво, и слушаху Варнаву и Павла који приповиједаху колике знаке и чудеса учини Бог у незнабошцима преко њих.

Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

А кад они умукоше, одговори Јаков говорећи: људи браћо! послушајте мене.

And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men [and] brethren, hearken unto me:

Симон каза како Бог најприје походи и прими из незнабожаца народ к имену својему.

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

И с овијем се ударају ријечи пророка, као што је написано:

And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

Потом ћу се вратити, и сазидаћу дом Давидов, који је пао, и његове развалине поправићу, и подигнућу га,

After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

Да потраже Господа остали људи и сви народи у којима се име моје спомену, говори Господ који твори све ово.

That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

Богу су позната од постања свијета сва дјела његова;

Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

Зато ја велим да се не дира у незнабошце који се обраћају к Богу;

Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:

Него да им се заповједи да се чувају од прилога идолскијех и од курварства и од удављенога и од крви, и што њима није мило другима да не чине.

But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and [from] fornication, and [from] things strangled, and [from] blood.

Јер Мојсије има од старијех времена у свијем градовима који га проповиједају, и по зборницама чита се сваке суботе.

For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

Тада нађоше за добро апостоли и старјешине са свом црквом да изберу између себе двојицу и да пошљу у Антиохију с Павлом и Варнавом, Јуду који се зваше Варсава, и Силу, људе знамените међу браћом.

Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; [namely], Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

И написаше рукама својима ово: Апостоли и старјешине и браћа поздрављају браћу која су по Антиохији и Сирији и Киликији што су од незнабожаца.

And they wrote [letters] by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren [send] greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:

Будући да ми чусмо да неки од нас изишавши сметоше вас ријечима, и раслабише душе ваше говорећи вам да се обрезујете и да држите закон, којима ми не заповједисмо;

Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, [Ye must] be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no [such] commandment:

Зато нађосмо за добро ми једнодушно сабрани избране људе послати вама с љубазнијем нашијем Варнавом и Павлом,

It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

С људима који су предали душе своје за име Господа нашега Исуса Христа.

Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Посласмо дакле Јуду и Силу, који ће то и ријечима казати.

We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell [you] the same things by mouth.

Јер нађе за добро свети Дух и ми да никаквијех тегоба више не мећемо на вас осим овијех потребнијех:

For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

Да се чувате од прилога идолскијех и од крви и од удављенога и од курварства, и што нећете да се чини вама не чините другима; од чега ако се чувате, добро ћете чинити. Будите здрави.

That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

А кад их опремише, дођоше у Антиохију, и сабравши народ предаше посланицу.

So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:

А кад прочиташе, обрадоваше се утјеси.

[Which] when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.

А Јуда и СИла, који и пророци бијаху, многијем ријечима утјешише браћу и утврдише.

And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed [them].

И пошто бише онамо неко вријеме, отпустише их браћа с миром к апостолима.

And after they had tarried [there] a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.

Сила нађе за добро да остане онамо, А Јуда се врати у Јерусалим.

Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.

А Павле и Варнава живљаху у Антиохији и учаху и проповиједаху ријеч Господњу с многима другијем.

Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.

А послије неколико дана рече Павле Варнави: хајде да се вратимо и да обиђемо браћу по свијем градовима по којима проповиједасмо ријеч Господњу како живе.

And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, [and see] how they do.

А Варнава шћаше да узму са собом Јована прозванога Марка.

And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.

Павле пак говораше: онога који нас је одустао у Памфилији и није ишао с нама на дјело на које смо били одређени, да не узимамо са собом.

But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.

Тако постаде распра да се они раздвојише, и Варнава узевши Марка отплови у Кипар.

And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;

А Павле избравши Силу изиђе предан благодати Божијој од браће.

And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.

И пролажаше кроз Сирију и Киликију утврђујући цркве.

And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
