Галатима посланица (светог апостола Павла )

Стојте дакле у слободи којом нас Христос ослободи, и не дајте се опет у јарам ропства ухватити.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Ево ја Павле кажем вам да ако се обрежете Христос вам ништа неће помоћи.

Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

А опет свједочим свакоме човјеку који се обрезује да је дужан сав закон творити.

For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

Изгубисте Христа, ви који хоћете законом да се оправдате, и отпадосте од благодати.

Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Јер ми духом чекамо од вјере над правде.

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Јер у Христу Исусу нити што помаже обрезање ни необрезање, него вјера, која кроз љубав ради.

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Добро трчасте; ко вам забрани да се не покоравате истини?

Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

То одвраћање није од онога који вас позва.

This persuasion [cometh] not of him that calleth you.

Мало квасца укисели све тијесто.

A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Ја се за вас надам у Господу да ништа друго нећете мислити. А који вас смета понијеће гријех, макар ко био.

I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

А ја, браћо, ако још обрезање проповиједам, зашто ме гоне? Тако се укиде саблазан крстова.

And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.

О да би отсјечени били они који вас кваре!

I would they were even cut off which trouble you.

Јер сте ви, браћо, на слободу позвани: само да ваша слобода не буде на жељу тјелесну, него из љубави служите један другоме.

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Јер се сав закон извршује у једној ријечи, то јест: љуби ближњега својега као себе.

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, [even] in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Али ако се међу собом кољете и једете, гледајте да један другога не истријебите.

But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

Велим пак: по духу ходите, и жеља тјелеснијех не извршујте.

[This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Јер тијело жели против духа, а дух против тијела; а ово се противи једно другоме, да не чините оно шта хоћете.

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Ако ли вас дух води, нијесте по законом.

But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

А позната су дјела тјелесна, која су прељубочинство, курварство, нечистота, бесрамност,

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Идолопоклонство, чарања, непријатељства, свађе, пакости, срдње, пркоси, распре, саблазни, јереси,

Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Зависти, убиства, пијанства, ждерања, и остала овакова за која вам напријед казујем као што и казах напријед, да они који такова чине неће наслиједити царства Божијега.

Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

А род је духовни љубав, радост, мир, трпљење, доброта, милост, вјера,

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Кротост, уздржање; на то нема закона.

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

А који су Христови, распеше тијело са сластима и жељама.

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Ако у духу живимо по духу и да ходимо,

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Да не тражимо лажне славе раздражујући један другога, и завидећи један другоме.

Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
