Пета књига Мојсијева (која се зове Закони поновљени )

Кад те Господ Бог твој уведе у земљу у коју идеш да је наслиједиш, и отјера испред тебе народе многе, Хетеје и Гергесеје и Амореје и Хананеје и Ферезеје и Јевеје и Јевусеје, седам народа већих и јачих од тебе,

When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

И преда их Господ Бог твој теби, и ти их разбијеш, потри их, не хватај с њима вјере, нити се смилуј на њих;

And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, [and] utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

Нити се пријатељи с њима; кћери своје не даји за сина њихова, нити кћери њихове узимај за сина својега.

Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

Јер би отпадила сина твојега од мене, и служио би боговима другим, те би се разгњевио Господ на вас и потро вас брзо.

For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

Него ово им учините: олтаре њихове раскопајте, и ликове њихове поломите, лугове њихове исијеците, и резане богове њихове огњем спалите.

But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.

Јер си ти народ свет Господу Богу својему, тебе је изабрао Господ Бог твој да му будеш народ особит мимо све народе на земљи.

For thou [art] an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that [are] upon the face of the earth.

Не зато што би вас било више него других народа прихвати вас Господ и изабра вас; јер вас бијаше мање него икојега другога народа;

The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye [were] the fewest of all people:

Него што вас Господ милује и што држи заклетву којом се заклео оцима вашим, зато вас је Господ извео руком крјепком и избавио вас из куће ропске, из руке Фараона цара Мисирскога.

But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

И тако знај да је Господ Бог твој Бог, Бог вјеран, који држи завјет свој и милост своју до тисућу кољена онима који га љубе и држе заповијести његове,

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he [is] God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

И плаћа онима који мрзе на њ, свакоме истребљујући га, и не одгађа ономе који мрзи на њ, плаћа свакоме.

And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.

Зато држи заповјести и уредбе и законе, које ти данас ја заповиједам, да их твориш.

Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.

И ако ове законе узаслушате и уздржите и устворите, и Господ ће Бог твој држати теби завјет и милост, за коју се заклео оцима твојим;

Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:

И миловаће те и благословиће те и умножиће те; благословиће плод утробе твоје и плод земље твоје, жито твоје и вино твоје и уље твоје, плод говеда твојих и стада оваца твојих у земљи за коју се заклео оцима твојим да ће ти је дати.

And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

Бићеш благословен мимо све народе: неће бити у тебе ни мушкога ни женскога неплодна, ни међу стоком твојом.

Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle.

И уклониће од тебе Господ сваку болест, и од љутих зала Мисирских која знаш неће ниједнога пустити на тебе, него ће их пустити на оне који мрзе на те.

And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all [them] that hate thee.

И истријеби све народе које ти Господ Бог твој преда, нека их не пожали око твоје, и немој служити боговима њиховијем, јер би ти то било замка.

And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that [will be] a snare unto thee.

Ако би рекао у срцу свом: већи су ови народи од мене, како их могу изагнати?

If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations [are] more than I; how can I dispossess them?

Не бој их се; памти добро што је учинио Господ Бог твој с Фараоном и са свијем Мисирцима,

Thou shalt not be afraid of them: [but] shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;

Велика кушања, која видјеше очи твоје, и знаке и чудеса и руку крјепку и мишицу подигнуту, којом те изведе Господ Бог твој; онако ће учинити Господ Бог твој са свијем народима од којих би се уплашио.

The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art afraid.

И стршљене ће послати Господ Бог твој на њих докле не изгину који би остали и сакрили се од тебе.

Moreover the LORD thy God will send the hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.

Не плаши се од њих, јер је Господ Бог твој усред тебе, Бог велики и страшни.

Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God [is] among you, a mighty God and terrible.

Господ ће Бог твој мало помало потрти те народе испред тебе; нећеш их моћи одједанпут истријебити, да се не би умножило на тебе звијерје пољско.

And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.

Али ће их предати Господ Бог твој теби, и затираће их затирањем великим докле се не затру.

But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.

И предаће цареве њихове у твоје руке да затреш име њихово под небом, неће се ниједан одржати пред тобом, докле их не потреш.

And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.

Резане богове њихове спали огњем, немој да се полакомиш на сребро или злато што је на њима и да га узмеш, да ти не буде замка, јер је гадно пред Господом Богом твојим.

The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold [that is] on them, nor take [it] unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it [is] an abomination to the LORD thy God.

И немој да унесеш гада у дом свој, да не будеш проклет као и он, него се гади на њ и грози се од њега, јер је проклето.

Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: [but] thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it [is] a cursed thing.
