Колошанима посланица (светог апостола Павла )

Ако дакле васкрснусте с Христом, тражите оно што је горе гдје Христос сједи с десне стране Бога.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Мислите о ономе што је горе а не што је на земљи.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Јер умријесте, и ваш је живот сакривен с Христом у Богу.

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

А кад се јави Христос, живот ваш, онда ћете се и ви с њиме јавити у слави.

When Christ, [who is] our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Поморите дакле уде своје који су на земљи: курварство, нечистоту, сласт, злу жељу и лакомство, које је идолопоклонство;

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

За које иде гњев Божиј на синове противљења;

For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

У којима и ви негда хођасте кад живљасте међу њима.

In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

А сад одбаците и ви то све: гњев, љутину, пакост, хуљење, срамотне ријечи из уста својијех.

But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Не лажите један на другога; свуците старога човјека с дјелима његовијем,

Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

И обуците новога, које се обнавља за познање по обличју онога који га је саздао:

And have put on the new [man], which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Гдје нема Грка ни Јеврејина, обрезања ни необрезања, дивљака ни Скита, роба ни слободњака, него све и у свему Христос.

Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond [nor] free: but Christ [is] all, and in all.

Обуците се дакле као избрани Божији, свети и љубазни, у срдачну милост, доброту, понизност, кротост, и трпљење,

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Сносећи један другога, и опраштајући један другоме ако има ко тужбу на кога: као што је и Христос вама опростио тако и ви.

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also [do] ye.

А сврх свега тога обуците се у љубав, која је свеза савршенства.

And above all these things [put on] charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

И мир Божиј да влада у срцима вашима, на који сте и позвани у једном тијелу, и захвални будите.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Ријеч Христова се богато усели међу вас, у свакој премудрости учећи и свјетујући сами себе са псалмима и појањем и пјесмама духовнијем, у благодати пјевајући у срцима својима Господу.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

И све што год чините ријечју или дјелом, све чините у име Господа Исуса Христа хвалећи Бога и оца кроза њ.

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Жене! слушајте своје мужеве као што треба у Господу.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

Мужеви! љубите жене своје и не срдите се на њих.

Husbands, love [your] wives, and be not bitter against them.

Дјецо! слушајте родитеље своје у свачему; јер је ово угодно Господу.

Children, obey [your] parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

Оцеви! не раздражујте дјеце своје, да не губе воље.

Fathers, provoke not your children [to anger], lest they be discouraged.

Слуге! слушајте у свему своје тјелесне господаре, не само пред очима радећи као да људима угађате, него у простоти срца, бојећи се Бога,

Servants, obey in all things [your] masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

И све шта год чините, од срца чините као Господу а не као људима:

And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Знајући да ћете од Господа примити плату нашљедства; јер Господу Христу служите.

Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

А који скриви примиће што је скривио: и нема гледања ко је ко.

But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
