А кад сав народ пријеђе преко Јордана, рече Господ Исусу говорећи:

And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,

Изберите из народа дванаест људи, по једнога човјека из свакога племена,

Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man,

И заповједите им и реците: узмите одавде, исред Јордана, с мјеста гдје стоје ногама својим свештеници, дванаест камена, и однесите их са собом, и метните их ондје гдје ћете ноћас ноћити.

And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night.

Тада дозва Исус дванаест људи, које бјеше одредио између синова Израиљевих, по једнога човјека из свакога племена.

Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man:

И рече им Исус: идите пред ковчег Господа Бога својега усред Јордана, и узмите сваки по један камен на раме своје, према броју племена синова Израиљевијех,

And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel:

Да буде знак међу вама. Кад вас послије запитају синови ваши говорећи: шта ће вам то камење?

That this may be a sign among you, [that] when your children ask [their fathers] in time to come, saying, What [mean] ye by these stones?

Реците им: јер се вода у Јордану раступи пред ковчегом завјета Господњега, кад прелажаше преко Јордана, раступи се вода у Јордану, и ово је камење спомен синовима Израиљевим довијека.

Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.

И учинише синови Израиљеви како заповједи Исус; и узеше дванаест камена исред Јордана, како бјеше рекао Господ Исусу, према броју племена синова Израиљевих; и однесоше их са собом на ноћиште, и метнуше их ондје.

And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.

А и усред Јордана постави Исус дванаест камена на мјесту гдје стајаху ногама својим свештеници носећи ковчег завјетни, и ондје осташе до данас.

And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day.

Свештеници пак који ношаху ковчег стајаху усред Јордана докле се не сврши све што бјеше Господ заповједио Исусу да каже народу, сасвијем како бјеше Мојсије заповједио Исусу. И народ похитје и пријеђе.

For the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until every thing was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and passed over.

А кад пријеђе сав народ, онда пријеђе и ковчег Господњи и свештеници, а народ гледаше.

And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over, that the ark of the LORD passed over, and the priests, in the presence of the people.

Пријеђоше и синови Рувимови и синови Гадови и половина племена Манасијина под оружјем пред синовима Израиљевим, као што им бјеше казао Мојсије.

And the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spake unto them:

Око четрдесет тисућа наоружанијех пријеђоше пред Господом преко Јордана на бој у поље Јерихонско.

About forty thousand prepared for war passed over before the LORD unto battle, to the plains of Jericho.

Тај дан узвиси Господ Исуса пред свијем Израиљем; и бојаху га се, као што су се бојали Мојсија, свега вијека његова.

On that day the LORD magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life.

И рече Господ Исусу говорећи:

And the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,

Заповједи свештеницима који носе ковчег од сведочанства нека изиду из Јордана.

Command the priests that bear the ark of the testimony, that they come up out of Jordan.

И заповједи Исус свештеницима говорећи: изидите из Јордана.

Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come ye up out of Jordan.

А чим свештеници који ношаху ковчег завјета Господњега изидоше исред Јордана, и стадоше на сухо ногом својом свештеници, одмах се поврати вода у Јордану на мјесто своје, и потече као и прије поврх свијех брегова својих.

And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, [and] the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as [they did] before.

А изиде народ из Јордана десетога дана првога мјесеца, и стадоше у око у Галгалу, с истока Јерихону.

And the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth [day] of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho.

А онијех дванаест камена, што изнесоше из Јордана, постави Исус у Галгалу,

And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal.

И рече синовима Израиљевим говорећи: кад унапредак запитају синови ваши оце своје говорећи: шта ће то камење?

And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What [mean] these stones?

Тада обавијестите синове своје, и реците им: сухим пријеђе Израиљ преко овога Јордана.

Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.

Јер Господ Бог ваш осуши Јордан пред вама докле пријеђосте, као што је учинио Господ Бог ваш од Црвенога Мора осушивши га пред нама докле пријеђосмо;

For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:

Да би познали сви народи на земљи да је рука Господња крјепка, да бисте се свагда бојали Господа Бога својега.

That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it [is] mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.
