А по смрти Аодовој опет синови Израиљеви чинише што је зло пред Господом.

And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, when Ehud was dead.

И Господ их даде у руке Јавину цару Хананском, који владаше у Асору, а војсци његовој бјеше војвода Сисара, који живљаше у Аросету незнабожачком.

And the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host [was] Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.

И синови Израиљеви вапише ка Господу; јер он имаше девет стотина гвозденијех кола, и веома притјешњаваше синове Израиљеве двадесет година.

And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.

У то вријеме Девора пророчица, жена Лафидотова, суђаше Израиљу.

And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.

И Девора становаше под палмом између Раме и Ветиља у гори Јефремовој, и долажаху к њој синови Израиљеви на суд.

And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.

А она пославши дозва Варака сина Авинејемова из Кедеса Нефталимова, и рече му: није ли заповједио Господ Бог Израиљев: иди, скупи народ на гору Тавор, и узми са собом десет тисућа људи између синова Нефталимовијех и синова Завулоновијех?

And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, [saying], Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?

Јер ћу довести к теби на поток Кисон Сисару војводу Јавинова и кола његова и људство његово, и предаћу га теби у руке.

And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.

А Варак јој рече: ако ћеш ти ићи са мном, ићи ћу; ако ли нећеш ићи са мном, нећу ићи.

And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, [then] I will not go.

А она рече: ја ћу ићи с тобом, али нећеш имати славе на путу којим ћеш ићи; јер ће жени у руку дати Господ Сисару. И уставши Девора отиде с Вараком у Кедес.

And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.

И Варак сазвавши синове Завулонове и Нефталимове у Кедес, поведе за собом десет тисућа људи; и Девора иђаше с њим.

And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.

А Евер Кенејин бјеше се одвојио од Кенеја, од синова Овава таста Мојсијева, и бјеше разапео свој шатор код храстова Занајимских, а то је код Кедеса.

Now Heber the Kenite, [which was] of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which [is] by Kedesh.

И јавише Сисари да је изашао Варак син Авинејемов на гору Тавор.

And they shewed Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to mount Tabor.

И Сисара скупи сва кола своја, девет стотина кола гвозденијех, и сав народ који бијаше с њим од Аросета незнабожачкога до потока Кисона.

And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, [even] nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that [were] with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles unto the river of Kishon.

Тада рече Девора Вараку: устани, јер је ово дан, у који ти даде Господ Сисару у руке. Не иде ли Господ пред тобом? И Варак сиђе с горе Тавора, и десет тисућа људи за њим.

And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this [is] the day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the LORD gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.

И Господ смете Сисару и сва кола његова и сву војску оштрим мачем пред Вараком; и Сисара сиђе с кола својих и побјеже пјешице.

And the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all [his] chariots, and all [his] host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off [his] chariot, and fled away on his feet.

А Варак потјера кола и војску до Аросета незнабожачкога; и паде сва војска Сисарина од оштрога мача, не оста ниједан.

But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; [and] there was not a man left.

А Сисара утече пјешице до шатора Јаиље жене Евера Кенејина; јер бијаше мир међу Јавином царем Асорским и домом Евера Кенејина.

Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for [there was] peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.

И изиде Јаиља на сусрет Сисари, и рече му: склони се, господару, склони се код мене; не бој се. И он се склони код ње у шатор, и она га покри покривачем.

And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a mantle.

А он јој рече: дај ми мало воде да се напијем, јер сам жедан. А она отвори мијех млијека и напоји га, па га покри.

And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.

А он јој рече: стој на вратима од шатора, и ако ко дође и запита те и рече: има ли ту ко? реци: нема.

Again he said unto her, Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man doth come and enquire of thee, and say, Is there any man here? that thou shalt say, No.

Тада Јаиља жена Еверова узе колац од шатора, и узе маљ у руку, и приступи к њему полако, и сатјера му колац кроз слијепе очи, те прође у земљу, кад спаваше тврдо уморан, и умрије.

Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.

И гле, Варак тјераше Сисару, и Јаиља му изиде на сусрет, и рече му: ходи да ти покажем човјека којега тражиш. И уђе к њој, и гле, Сисара лежаше мртав, и колац му у слијепијем очима.

And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest. And when he came into her [tent], behold, Sisera lay dead, and the nail [was] in his temples.

Тако покори Бог у онај дан Јавина цара Хананскога пред синовима Израиљевијем.

So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.

И рука синова Израиљевијех биваше све тежа Јавину цару Хананском, докле не истријебише Јавина цара Хананскога.

And the hand of the children of Israel prospered, and prevailed against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.
