Послије тога разби Давид Филистеје, и покори их, и узе Давид Метег-Аму из руку Филистејских.

And after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines.

Разби и Моавце, и измјери их ужем поваљавши их по земљи, и измјери их два ужа да се погубе а једно уже да се оставе у животу. И Моавци посташе слуге Давидове, и плаћаху му данак.

And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And [so] the Moabites became David's servants, [and] brought gifts.

Давид разби и Адад-Езера сина Реовова цара Совскога, изашав да рашири власт своју до ријеке Ефрата.

David smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.

И зароби их Давид тисућу и седам стотина коњаника и двадесет тисућа пјешака, и подреза Давид жиле свијем коњма колским, само остави за сто кола.

And David took from him a thousand [chariots], and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot [horses], but reserved of them [for] an hundred chariots.

И бијаху дошли Сирци из Дамаска у помоћ Адад-Езеру цару Совском, и Давид поби двадесет и двије тисуће Сираца.

And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.

И намјести Давид војску у Сирији што је под Дамаском, и Сирци посташе слуге Давидове плаћајући му данак. И Господ чуваше Давида куда год иђаше.

Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, [and] brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.

И Давид узе златне штитове које имаху слуге Адад-Езерове, и донесе их у Јерусалим.

And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

И из Ветаха и из Виротаја градова Адад-Езеровијех однесе цар Давид силну мјед.

And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.

А кад чу Тоја цар Ематски да је Давид побио сву војску Адад-Езерову,

When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer,

Посла Тоја Јорама сина својега к цару Давиду да га поздрави и да му честита што је војевао на Адад-Езера и убио га, јер Тоја имаше рат с Адад-Езером; и донесе Јорам заклада златнијех и сребрнијех и мједенијех.

Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And [Joram] brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:

Па и то цар Давид посвети Господу са сребром и златом што бјеше посветио од свијех народа које покори,

Which also king David did dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued;

Од Сираца и од Моаваца и од синова Амоновијех и од Филистеја и од Амалика, и од плијена Адад-Езера сина Реовова цара Совскога.

Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

И Давид стече име кад се врати побив Сирце, осамнаест тисућа, у сланој долини.

And David gat [him] a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, [being] eighteen thousand [men].

И намјести војску по Идумеји, по свој Идумеји намјести војску, и сви Едомци посташе слуге Давидове. И Господ чуваше Давида куда год иђаше.

And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.

Тако царова Давид над свијем Израиљем, судећи и дајући правду свему народу својему.

And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.

И Јоав син Серујин бјеше над војском; а Јосафат син Ахилудов паметар;

And Joab the son of Zeruiah [was] over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud [was] recorder;

А Садок син Ихитовов и Ахимелех син Авијатаров свештеници; а Сераја писар;

And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, [were] the priests; and Seraiah [was] the scribe;

А Венаја син Јодајев бјеше над Херетејима и Фелетејима; а синови Давидови кнезови.

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada [was over] both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief rulers.
