Књига пророка Исаије

Тешко онима који постављају законе неправедне и који пишу неправду,

Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness [which] they have prescribed;

Да одбију од суда убоге, и да отимају правицу сиромасима народа мојега, да би им плијен биле удовице и сироте грабеж.

To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and [that] they may rob the fatherless!

А шта ћете чинити у дан похођења и погибли која ће доћи из далека? коме ћете прибјећи за помоћ? гдје ли ћете оставити славу своју?

And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation [which] shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

Да се не би унизила међу робље и међу побијене пала? Код свега тога неће се одвратити гњев његов, него ће рука његова још бити подигнута.

Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand [is] stretched out still.

Тешко Асиру, шиби гњева мојега, ако и јест палица у руци његовој моја јарост.

O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.

На народ лицемјерни послаћу га, и заповједићу му за народ на који се гњевим, да плијени и отима, и да га изгази као блато на улицама.

I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but [it is] in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.

Јер ће рећи: кнезови моји нијесу ли сви цареви?

For he saith, [Are] not my princes altogether kings?

Није ли Халан као Хархемис? није ли Емат као Арфад? није ли Самарија као Дамаск?

[Is] not Calno as Carchemish? [is] not Hamath as Arpad? [is] not Samaria as Damascus?

Како је рука моја нашла царства лажнијех богова, којих ликови бијаху јачи од Јерусалимских и Самаријских,

As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;

Нећу ли учинити Јерусалиму и његовијем лажнијем боговима онако како сам учинио Самарији и њезинијем лажнијем боговима?

Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

Али кад сврши Господ све дјело своје на гори Сионској и у Јерусалиму, тада ћу обићи плод охолога срца цара Асирскога и славу поноситијех очију његовијех.

Wherefore it shall come to pass, [that] when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

Јер рече: крјепошћу руке своје учиних и мудрошћу својом, јер сам разуман; и премјестих међе народима и благо њихово заплијених и као јунак оборих становнике.

For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done [it], and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant [man]:

И рука моја нађе као гнијездо богатство у народа, и како се купе јајца остављена тако покупих сву земљу, и не би никога да махне крилом или да отвори уста и писне.

And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs [that are] left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.

Хоће ли се сјекира величати над онијем који њом сијече? хоће ли се пила разметати над онијем који њом ради? као да би прут махао онијем који га дигне, као да би се хвалио штап да није од дрвета.

Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? [or] shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake [itself] against them that lift it up, [or] as if the staff should lift up [itself, as if it were] no wood.

Зато ће Господ, Господ над војскама, пустити на претиле његове мршу, и славу ће његову потпалити да гори као огањ.

Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.

Јер ће видјело Израиљево бити огањ, и светац ће његов бити пламен, и упалиће и сажећи трње његово и чкаљ његов у један дан.

And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;

И красоту шуме његове и њиве његове, од душе до тијела, уништиће, и биће као бјегунац кад изнемогне.

And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth.

И што остане дрвета шуме његове, биће мало, да би их дијете могло пописати.

And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.

И у то вријеме остатак Израиљев и који се избаве у дому Јаковљеву неће се више ослањати на онога ко их бије, него ће се ослањати на Господа свеца Израиљева истином.

And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

Остатак ће се обратити, остатак Јаковљев, к Богу силноме.

The remnant shall return, [even] the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

Јер ако буде народа твојега, Израиљу, као пијеска морскога, остатак ће се његов обратити. Погибао је одређена, разлиће се правда.

For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, [yet] a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

Јер ће Господ, Господ над војскама, извршити погибао одређену у свој земљи.

For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.

Зато овако вели Господ, Господ над војскама: не бој се Асирца, народе мој, који наставаш на гори Сиону; прутом ће те ударити и штап свој подигнуће на те као у Мисиру.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

Јер још мало, и гњев ће престати; тада ће се јарост моја обратити на њихову погибао.

For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.

Јер ће подигнути на њ Господ над војскама бич, те ће бити као расап Мадијански код камена Орива и као штап његов на мору, и подигнуће га као у Мисиру.

And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and [as] his rod [was] upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.

И тада ће се скинути бреме његово с рамена твојега и јарам његов с врата твојега, и изломиће се јарам од помазања.

And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

Дође у Ајат, прође у Мигрон, у Михмасу распрти пртљаг свој.

He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:

Пођоше кланцем, у Гаваји заноћише, препаде се Рама, Гаваја Саулова побјеже.

They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.

Вичи иза гласа, кћери Галимова; нек се чује у Лаис, јадни Анатоте!

Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.

Мадмина побјеже, становници Гевимски утекоше.

Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.

Још један дан, па ће стајати у Нову, махнуће руком својом на гору кћери Сионске, на хум Јерусалимски.

As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand [against] the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

Гле, Господ, Господ над војскама, окресаће силом гране; што је високо посјећи ће, и што је уздигнуто снизиће.

Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature [shall be] hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.

И густу ће шуму исјећи сјекиром, и Ливан ће пасти од силнога.

And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
