Свето Јеванђеље по Матеју

Не судите да вам се не суди;

Judge not, that ye be not judged.

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

А зашто видиш трун у оку брата својега, а брвна у оку својему не осјећаш?

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Или, како можеш рећи брату својему: стани да ти извадим трун из ока твојега; а ето брвно у оку твојему?

Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam [is] in thine own eye?

Лицемјере! извади најприје брвно из ока својега, па ћеш онда видјети извадити трун из ока брата својега.

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Не дајте светиње псима; нити мећите бисера својега пред свиње, да га не погазе ногама својима, и вративши се не растргну вас.

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Иштите, и даће вам се; тражите, и наћи ћете; куцајте, и отвориће вам се.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Јер сваки који иште, прима; и који тражи, налази; и који куца, отвориће му се.

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Или који је међу вама човјек у кога ако заиште син његов хљеба камен да му да?

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Или ако рибе заиште да му да змију?

Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

Кад дакле ви, зли будући, умијете даре добре давати дјеци својој, колико ће више отац ваш небески дати добра онима који га моле?

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Све дакле што хоћете да чине вама људи, чините и ви њима: јер је то закон и пророци.

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Уђите на уска врата; јер су широка врата и широк пут што воде у пропаст, и много их има који њим иду.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Као што су уска врата и тијесан пут што воде у живот, и мало их је који га налазе.

Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Чувајте се од лажнијех пророка, који долазе к вама у одијелу овчијему, а унутра су вуци грабљиви.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

По родовима њиховијем познаћете их. Еда ли се бере с трња грожђе, или с чичка смокве?

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Тако свако дрво добро родове добре рађа, а зло дрво родове зле рађа.

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Не може дрво добро родова злијех рађати, ни дрво зло родова добријех рађати.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Свако дакле дрво које не рађа рода добра, сијеку и у огањ бацају.

Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

И тако дакле по родовима њиховијем познаћете их.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Не ће сваки који ми говори: Господе! Господе! ући у царство небеско; но који чини по вољи оца мојега који је на небесима.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Многи ће рећи мени у онај дан: Господе! Господе! нијесмо ли у име твоје пророковали, и твојијем именом ђаволе изгонили, и твојијем именом чудеса многа творили?

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

И тада ћу им ја казати: никад вас нијесам знао; идите од мене који чините безакоње.

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Сваки дакле који слуша ове моје ријечи и извршује их, казаћу да је као мудар човјек који сазида кућу своју на камену:

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

И удари дажд, и дођоше воде, и дунуше вјетрови, и нападоше на кућу ону, и не паде; јер бјеше утврђена на камену.

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

А сваки који слуша ове моје ријечи а не извршује их, он ће бити као човјек луд који сазида кућу своју на пијеску:

And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

И удари дажд, и дођоше воде, и дунуше вјетрови, и ударише у кућу ону, и паде, и распаде се страшно.

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

И кад сврши Исус ријечи ове, дивљаше се народ науци његовој.

And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

Јер их учаше као онај који власт има, а не као књижевници.

For he taught them as [one] having authority, and not as the scribes.
