Свето Јеванђеље по Марку

У то вријеме, кад бијаше врло много народа и не имадијаху шта јести, дозва Исус ученике своје и рече им:

In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples [unto him], and saith unto them,

Жао ми је народа, јер већ три дана стоје код мене и немају ништа јести.

I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:

И ако их отпустим гладне кућама њиховијем, ослабиће на путу; јер су многи од њих дошли издалека.

And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.

И одговорише му ученици његови: откуда ћемо узети хљеба овдје у пустињи да их нахранимо?

And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these [men] with bread here in the wilderness?

И запита их: колико имате хљебова? А они казаше: седам.

And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

И заповједи народу да посједају по земљи; и узевши онијех седам хљебова и хвалу давши, преломи, и даде ученицима својијем да раздаду; и раздадоше народу.

And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before [them]; and they did set [them] before the people.

И имаху мало рибица; и њих благословивши рече да и њих раздаду.

And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before [them].

И једоше, и наситише се, и накупише комада што претече седам котарица.

So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken [meat] that was left seven baskets.

А онијех што су јели бијаше око четири хиљаде. И отпусти их.

And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away.

И одмах уђе у лађу с ученицима својијем, и дође у околине Далманутске.

And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.

И изиђоше фарисеји, и почеше се препирати с њим, и кушајући га искаху од њега знак с неба.

And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

И уздахнувши духом својијем рече: зашто род овај знак тражи? Заиста вам кажем: неће се дати роду овоме знак.

And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

И оставивши их уљезе опет у лађу, и отиде на ону страну.

And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side.

И заборавише ученици његови узети хљеба, и немаху са собом у лађи до један хљеб.

Now [the disciples] had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.

И заповиједаше им говорећи: гледајте, чувајте се квасца фарисејскога и квасца Иродова.

And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and [of] the leaven of Herod.

И мишљаху један другоме говорећи: то је што хљеба немамо.

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, [It is] because we have no bread.

И разумјевши Исус рече им: шта мислите што хљеба немате? Зар још не осјећате, нити разумијете? Зар је још окамењено срце ваше?

And when Jesus knew [it], he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?

Очи имате и не видите? уши имате и не чујете? И не памтите ли

Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

Кад ја пет хљебова преломих на пет хиљада, колико котарица пунијех комада накуписте? Рекоше му: дванаест.

When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.

А кад седам на четири хиљаде, колико пунијех котарица накуписте комада? А они рекоше: седам.

And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.

И рече им: како не разумијете?

And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?

И дође у Витсаиду; и доведоше к њему слијепа, и мољаху га да га се дотакне.

And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.

И узевши за руку слијепога изведе га напоље из села, и пљунувши му у очи метну руке на њ, и запита га види ли што.

And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.

И погледавши рече: видим људе гдје иду као дрва.

And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.

И потом опет метну му руке на очи, и рече му да прогледа: и исцијели се, и видје све лијепо.

After that he put [his] hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

И посла га кући његовој говорећи: не улази у село, нити казуј коме у селу.

And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell [it] to any in the town.

И изиђе Исус и ученици његови у села Ћесарије Филипове; и путем питаше ученике своје говорећи им: ко говоре људи да сам ја?

And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?

А они одговорише: Јован крститељ; други: Илија; а други: који од пророка.

And they answered, John the Baptist: but some [say], Elias; and others, One of the prophets.

А он им рече: а ви шта мислите ко сам ја? А Петар одговарајући рече му: ти си Христос.

And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.

И запријети им да никоме не казују за њега.

And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.

And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and [of] the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

И говораше о том не устручавајући се. И Петар узе га и поче га одвраћати.

And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.

А он обрнувши се и погледавши на ученике своје запријети Петру говорећи: иди од мене сотоно; јер ти не мислиш што је Божије него што је људско.

But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

И дозвавши народ с ученицима својима рече им: ко хоће за мном да иде нека се одрече себе и узме крст свој, и за мном иде.

And when he had called the people [unto him] with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Јер ко хоће душу своју да сачува, изгубиће је; а ко изгуби душу своју мене ради и јеванђеља онај ће је сачувати.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

Јер каква је корист човјеку ако задобије сав свијет а души својој науди?

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Или какав ће откуп дати човјек за душу своју?

Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Јер ко се постиди мене и мојијех ријечи у роду овоме прељуботворноме и грјешном, и син ће се човјечиј постидјети њега кад дође у слави оца својега с анђелима светима.

Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
