Коринћанима посланица прва (светог апостола Павла )

Смије ли који од вас, кад има тужбу на другога, ићи на суд неправеднима, а не светима?

Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?

Не знате ли да ће свети судити свијету? Кад ћете дакле ви свијету судити нијесте ли вриједни судити мањијем стварима?

Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

Не знате ли да ћемо анђелима судити, акамоли стварима овога свијета?

Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

А ви кад имате тужбе за ствари овога свијета, узмете за судије оне које у цркви не броји нико у што!

If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

На срамоту вашу говорим: зар нема међу вама ниједнога мудра који може расудити међу браћом својом?

I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

Него се брат с братом суди, и то пред невјернима!

But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.

И то је већ врло срамно за вас да имате тужбе међу собом. Зашто радије не трпите неправду? Зашто радије не прегорите штету?

Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather [suffer yourselves to] be defrauded?

Него ви сами чините неправду и штету, па још браћи!

Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that [your] brethren.

Или не знате да неправедници неће наслиједити царства Божијега? Не варајте се: ни курвари, ни идолопоклоници, ни прељубочинци, ни аџувани, ни мужеложници,

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

Ни лупежи, ни лакомци, ни пијанице, ни кавгаџије, ни хајдуци, царства Божијега неће наслиједити.

Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

И овакови бијасте неки; него се опрасте и посветисте и оправдасте именом Господа нашега Исуса Христа и Духом Бога нашега.

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Све ми је слободно, али није све на корист; све ми је слободно, али нећу да што облада мноме.

All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

Јела су за трбух, и трбух је за јела; али ће Бог и ова и онога покварити. А тијело није за курварство, него за Господа, и Господ за тијело.

Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body [is] not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

А Бог и Господа подиже, и нас ће подићи силом својом.

And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

Не знате ли да су тјелеса ваша уди Христови? Хоћу ли дакле узети уде Христове и од њих начинити уде курвине? Боже сачувај!

Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make [them] the members of an harlot? God forbid.

What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

А ко се Господа држи један је дух с Господом.

But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Бјежите од курварства; јер сваки гријех који човјек чини осим тијела је; а који се курва он гријеши своме тијелу.

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

Или не знате да су тјелеса ваша црква светога Духа који живи у вама, којега имате од Бога, и нијеста своји?

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Јер сте купљени скупо. Прославите дакле Бога у тјелесима својијем и у душама својијем, што је Божије.

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
